McAfee offers a variety of programs that protect your PC, including one that protects your computer from viruses by scanning and removing them. A common complaint amongst users is that it drastically slows down their computer, so they choose to get rid of it. Another reason to get rid of it would be that the initial version is free, but they end up charging you after your trial period expires. You can uninstall and delete the McAfee Trial Version from your computer by using a program that is native to your computer.

But if you want to continue to uninstall McAfee, click the Remove button and two screens appear. The first screen is a, “Your PC is at Risk” message. This screen tells you that after you remove McAfee, your computer is no longer protected. Click the Close button to close this message. The other screen that appears is the Removal Status screen. This screen stays up until the removal process is complete. By following the steps, you will be able to uninstall it quickly and thoroughly from your computer. Step 1: Download Total Uninstaller, install and launch it. Step 2: Check McAfee LiveSafe on the right. Step 3: Total Uninstaller will review the program files and associated registry entries. Step 4: Click Yes to start the uninstall process.

Locate 'McAfee' in the list and highlight it. Click 'Change/Remove' in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Check all of the programs you want to remove. McAfee offers trial versions of AntiVirus, Total Protection, SiteAdvisor and more. Select the programs that you wish to uninstall.

Click 'Remove' again to verify that you understand the consequences of not having virus protection.
